ACCESS MESSAGES: From the home screen, select the Messages app.
Note: The first time you access Messages, an Advanced Messaging tutorial will be displayed. Follow theon-screen prompts to proceed through the tutorial.
COMPOSE A MESSAGE: From the Messages inbox, select theCompose icon.
Enter the desired contact,then select the " Enter message" text entry field and enter the desired message .
Note: To add additional recipients and create a Group Message, enter or select the Additional contacts then select the "Enter message" text entry field. To remove recipients, select the Minus icon to delete desired contacts.
ADD AN ATTACHMENT: Select theAttach icon, then follow the on screen prompts to navigate to the desired file.
Note: If Advanced Messaging is turned on and you are messaging another device using Advanced Messaging, you can share files up to 10MB, get read receipts, and see when someone is replying. If Advanced Messaging is turned off you can share files up to 1 MB. To learn more, view Advanced Messaging or visit att.com/advancedmessaging.
When finished composing the message, selectSEND.
QUICK REPLY:When a new message is received, the New Message icon will display in the Notification bar. A text preview will also appear below the Notification bar. Select the Text preview to enter the Messages app and reply.
Note: Select REPLY to quickly reply from the Notification without leaving the current screen.
READ A MESSAGE: From the Messages inbox, select the desiredmessage thread.
SAVE AN ATTACHMENT:Select and hold the desired attachment, then select Save attachment.
Note: To view the saved attachment, from the Apps tray select theGallery app then select the Gallery app > ALBUMS tab > Downloads. Downloaded images can also be viewed in thePhotos app.
FORWARD A MESSAGE: Select and hold the desiredmessage, then selectForward.
Note: To complete this action, enter the desired contact then select Send.
REPLY TO A MESSAGE: Enter the desiredresponse in the desiredmessage thread, then selectSEND.
DELETE A MESSAGE: Select and hold the desired message, then selectDelete. SelectDELETE, then selectDELETE again to confirm.
DELETE A MESSAGE THREAD: Select and hold the desiredmessage thread, then selectDELETE.SelectDELETE again to confirm.
